At Paper Pumpkin, we believe in making a difference—especially when it comes to helping our subscribers build relationships through paper crafting. For April, we created a fun, family appreciation themed card kit that would make it easy for you to share their hearts with those they love most: mom, dad, daughter, son, sister, and brother. April’s kit even includes Mother’s Day and Father’s Day sentiments, giving your customers the perfect way to show their appreciation for beloved parents on their special days with a beautiful, handmade card.
One more thing, Aprils is “fam-tastic” kit: The Paper Pumpkin team knows that everyone’s clan is unique. With that in mind, we provided sentiments that would include anyone in your life who feels like family; for instance, “brothers” and “sisters” who have helped you along the journey of life.

Making bee hives is all the rage right now for home décor. Of course I jumped on the band wagon. I went to Dollar Tree and bought the nautical rope and flower pot. There is many videos out there showing how to make the hive on YouTube. I got the bees from amazon and the flower buttons from Michaels. I decided the hive needed a bear and I knew where one was at sitting at in my craft room. I sat them on my shelf and then decided since spring is coming, they needed to be among flowers. I went back to Dollar Tree and got the planter and some faux flowers. I arranged the flowers around the hive and bear. I love how it turned out!
Here they are all together. I added some jewels to the planter and ribbon. The ribbon I got from amazon. The plaid fabric I had on hand.
I knew I had the Baby Bear stamp set and decided to make a card to fit in the theme.
.
This bear has his own hive also, isn't he adorable?

I belong to an amazing group on Facebook, Fully Visible. This group is demonstrators supporting each other by weekly commenting on each others posts. There is 14 groups and each group has 5 demos in them. We have a rotation we follow to know whos page to comment on that week. To further this engagement, I started a collage/sampler swap. This past month it is the Peaceful Poppies. They were to use Poppy Parade as the base color then the second layer could be dsp or cardstock of choice and then add your elements. These elements can be anything from die cuts, embossing, water coloring or etc. There was 4 of us in this swap.
Click on their names to see if they have posted their Collage/Sampler on their page. The middle row is from Chris and she took the word "happiness" and broke it down into three's to create her items. I thought that was quite clever.
Here are closeups of the elements
Chris Schroeder ( I have the hap upside down:) )
I loved how each of these pieces turned out! The background is SOOO pretty!
Next up is this gorgeous card made by Pamela Berry. She wrote a very thoughtful note inside and she will also be participating in the next collage/sampler swap.
This card I made at onstage, this uses the tone on tone stamping and coloring of the ribbon.
This set is very versatile and beautiful to create with. If you love this set you can click on the pictures below to order. You can buy the complete suite or just the ones you want. I hope we have inspired you.

Even though the Golden Honey DSP sold out, you can still buy the stamp set and dies. Today I was looking for my coaster to sit my drink on and then it hit me. Why not make some Honey Bee coasters. I went through my stash and nope, nada, no more coasters. I went to amazon and found some coasters and ordered them, when they arrived I began to gather my supplies to create my coasters and I also decided to make a keychain from some wooden ornaments I had left over. I used Stazon Black Ink and of course the Honey Bee stamp set. I chose to use the large bee and the sentiment "CELEBRATE every moment." We should always celebrate each and every day, when we make our life happy we are blessed with goodness.
Look at how detailed the wings of the honey bee are on the cork coaster. Lovely~
How about a keychain to match?
The other side stamped with the sentiment.
How cute are these? They would make great gift for a friends birthday or for a new house warming gift or just to CELEBRATE every moment. Below is the link for all items I used to create these. Come back soon for more exciting Honey Bee items that I am currently working on.

We have sold out of the Golden Honey Specialty Designer Series Paper (item 152311). As a reminder, supplies are limited for products from the Sale-A-Bration brochure and may run out before the end of the promotion. We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, and we thank you for your understanding. I had a feeling these would sell out and boy did they ever.
Even though it has you can still create cards without it. Take a look here:

This next card I created using the retired hexagon punch to make the honeycomb for this card. I again used Crushed Curry and Basic Black along with the Golden Honey DSP.
I randomly stamped my images of the bees again. I then punched out seven black hexagons and then five of the DSP. I stamped a bee and the sentiment and punched them out also. I glued down the black pieces and popped up the DSP with dimensionals and offset them off the black pieces. The bee and sentiment I glued one at the top and one towards the bottom.
